The range of things to do outdoors is a big draw, from skiing and snowboarding in winter to hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking in summer. Beavers Pond is also only a short drive from Montreal or Ottawa, so it works well for a weekend away. The log homes balance rustic style with modern comforts, and the lake views from the decks are stunning. Set among mountains and lakes, it feels peaceful, and the friendly staff are ready to help. A lovely place to recharge and enjoy nature.

The lake view is great, and the heated floors make the cozy place comfortable. Still, some details need attention: the stairs feel a bit dangerous, the doors don't close quite right, and you'll need a 4x4 for the driveway. I'd put it a notch below Fiddler Lake Resort.

The building itself is amazing, but the bugs were far too much for me. A few are understandable, just not this many. There's no AC, and I honestly couldn't wait to get home. I imagine winter would be ten times better than summer, though the roads might still be a problem.

The huge wooden logs and all those windows make this place feel special, and there's so much room to spread out. It's the spot for a great getaway with friends or family, and makes you think about the kind of life you deserve.
