Benny helped us out with a place to stay when we had car trouble. The lodge is right in the village, just a short walk from the gondola, restaurants, and bars. He's unapologetically passionate about his guests and how they experience the lodge. Great management and location. I'll be back next year and will tell anyone who asks to stay here.

We always stay at Blackcomb Lodge when we visit Whistler. It's clean, roomy, has great amenities, and the location is perfect. Beny and the staff are professional, accommodating, and friendly from booking through checkout. This time we had two adjoining rooms, which was fun and convenient for our big group. We won't stay anywhere else in town!

We only arrived a few hours ago, but this has already been the worst experience of my life. I'm never coming back. My sons and I are checking out tomorrow, two days early. The trouble started when my son was returning the trolley after taking our things to the room. The manager told him, "no partying and dont bring unwanted guests in." We weren't partying, and my kids had no plans to bring anyone unwanted. My car was towed. The woman at the counter was rude and disrespectful, almost smirking. The fees are wild, so budget for hidden charges and parking. They took nearly enough for two passes, plus parking, which cost an arm and a leg, and then there was the tow. Reading the other reviews and the owner's responses, I found them cold and distant, with no customer service and rude, insulting front desk staff. They seem to justify complaints without concern for customers. Customers don't want strict, unrelenting policies, hidden costs that could pay for passes, substandard rooms, or poor service. Maybe they need those hidden fees to cover customer retention, or lack of it. I filed a report with BBB and will contact Consumer Matters if I have to.

The room was outdated, with old furniture, worn fixtures, and few modern amenities. The basic comfort was somewhat okay, but the whole place felt poorly maintained. CCTV cameras everywhere also made it feel over-monitored and lacking privacy. This hotel came across as cheap, unfriendly, unprofessional, and focused on getting money out of guests instead of offering basic hospitality. Please find somewhere else and spare yourself the headache. We should have read the reviews. Definitely not recommended. We booked one night in August for early December. Twenty-three days before the stay, I tried to cancel because of an unfortunate, unforeseen situation related to the hotel. I called about five times, but was told each time that the manager wasn't available. Expedia tried to help too, and got the same answer. With no support or communication, we had to continue the trip. Thankfully, a friend ended up covering the cost of the other room. We were nearby in heavy rain and tried to check in about an hour before 4 pm. When I called to ask about early check-in, they said it would cost $50. At check-in, staff said Expedia didn't collect certain fees, so the hotel charged them directly without telling us ahead of time. The amount wasn't huge, but guests should be told before arriving. Transparency clearly isn't a priority. The hotel charges for almost everything, which felt like a constant cash grab. Our room could sleep up to six. We filled out the form they sent days before check-in to report one extra guest, and had also called weeks earlier. Even so, they charged us about $58, saying it didn't count because the guest wasn't registered on Expedia before booking. Completely unreasonable. For a room booked for three, the basic supplies were ridiculously limited: barely any soap, hand wash, lotion, or shampoo. It felt stingy and unwelcoming, especially with several guests. We didn't ask for more because they seemed to charge for almost anything. My friend, who was staying at another hotel, came with me briefly while I grabbed something from my room. They weren't planning to enter, only to wait in the common area out of the rain. A staff member I believe was the manager stopped us at the door and shouted that my friend couldn't come inside, not even into the common area. That felt ridiculous and inhospitable. Parking was another headache. The guest rate is $34, but there is no day pass and you have to leave the lot by 11 am. You can find cheaper parking elsewhere that actually offers day passes. There was no flexibility, just an instruction to find somewhere else. We had booked the stay for three people. The room was supposed to accommodate six, and we had reported the extra guest on the form sent days before arrival and by phone weeks earlier. Despite that, they charged about $58, claiming the guest wasn't registered on Expedia before booking. Completely unreasonable. We were already nearby in heavy rain and tried to check in about an hour before 4 pm. When I called to ask, they said early check-in cost $50. What a joke. At check-in, they charged fees they said Expedia didn't collect, without having told us beforehand. The amount itself wasn't huge, but guests should know before arrival. Transparency clearly isn't a priority here.

The room looked even better in person than in the photos, and the hot tub and pool were great. Staff were super nice, helpful, and friendly. Great location too. I'd definitely recommend this place :)
