ResortQuest at Whistler Cascade Lodge

Room 413. I stayed two nights, and the convenient location with easy city access was the main positive. The hotel itself feels old, and comfort was lacking. A dirty, foul-smelling carpet sat in the elevator throughout my stay, and nobody removed it. Entry to the parking and elevator used an eight-digit code instead of a key or keycard. That's inconvenient if your phone dies and you can't remember the code. The room was apartment-like with basic amenities, but the front door had no soundproofing, so I could clearly hear the neighbors. The living room sofa was hard to unfold, probably because its mechanism was old or broken. There was also a constant buzzing behind the bathroom ceiling cover, like a transformer running. I never found out what it was. This doesn't deserve its claimed three-star rating, it feels more like a two-star property. Management should pay more attention to maintenance and service quality, especially for these prices.

A visit to Cascade Lodge is always a pleasure. It's a lovely escape with beautiful scenery, just steps from the main village. On a hike during our stay, I fell and came back to Cascade Lodge. Tanaka at the front desk kindly gave me bandages, tape, and antiseptic gel for my leg, and was so caring and concerned. We appreciate the staff and look forward to returning.

The rooms are amazing, with a washer and dryer, a sofa bed, and everything you need to make your own meals. The supermarket and shops are easy to reach, and the free mountain ski bus passes every 15 minutes. Fantastic place to stay, and the staff are good.

I really enjoyed staying here. My suite was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed in the kitchen, even a potato peeler, spice packets, and little salt and pepper sachets. The pool was fantastic and clearly well looked after. Half my stay had beautiful weather, but when it turned chilly and rainy, I could still enjoy swimming because the pool was well heated. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Great stay!
