Public transportation is easy to reach from this hotel, and you can get around without trouble. The location is great. The room was wonderful, except for the pull-out sofa, which was extremely uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on the metal frame, probably because the mattress is thin and worn. The sofa and cushions smelled bad too, likely from heavy use. Service was exceptional, and Ravi and the whole group of employees were wonderful.

The pool is a big reason we love coming here, and we had another great stay. Our boys were celebrating a birthday, and the receptionist kindly let them choose a drink and a treat from the snack store. The staff are wonderful, the rooms nicely appointed, and breakfast is awesome. See you next time!

The hot buffet breakfast was great, and the staff were kind and understanding about my gluten sensitivity. My kids had a blast in the heated pool and hot tub. We came for a family stay and found the rooms surprisingly spacious, with everything I needed to cook. It felt like a home away from home. One of the best hotels in Whitby. I’d 100% come again.

We got our floats ready and put on our swimsuits on the first day, but the pool had a layer of something floating on it and the pumps weren’t circulating the water. It was still like that on day two. I was told the pool person wasn’t there. By day three, we decided to use it anyway, and my grandson and nephew got a rash afterward. That same day, a fire alarm woke us at 9 a.m., and we were told it would continue until 5 p.m. After a lot of discussion and hassle, the hotel reimbursed us a huge $30 for the inconvenience. The manager didn’t seem very concerned about helping. We only got that money because Expedia called for me.

The suites work especially well for longer business trips, with a full kitchenette that makes life on the road easier. I’ve been staying at the Residence Inn Whitby on business for 15+ years, and it has consistently been excellent. Free breakfast is reliably good, the staff are welcoming, and there’s plenty of free parking. Being right off Highway 401 makes travel convenient. I highly recommend it if you want comfort and reliability in Whitby.
