Customer service was infuriating. We waited patiently for a room key while the front desk clerk spent at least 15 minutes on a personal call, then another 10 minutes chatting with a friend about anything and everything. The motel is badly run and the rooms were disgusting. Bring your own bedding if you have to stay. The building has no AC and is definitely smoker friendly. There was weed on our floor, no joke. The ridiculous cheap price isn’t worth it. If you have to, sleep in your car.

$250 gone for three days at this s***hole?! I want my money back. They put me in a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke, and the sheets had cigarette holes. There were ants, no staff after a certain hour, and the room looked like a 1970's horror flick. 0 stars if I could.

All the good hotels in Durham were booked for a hockey tournament, so two young people with a credit card, us, were trying to find a quiet weekend room. The owner yelled that he didn't want any parties and asked, in an unbelievably rude way, why people from Oshawa would rent in Whitby. We had no party plans and told him why we were there, but he still didn't believe us. It was weird!!!

My boyfriend ended up with bed bug bites all over his neck and arm. The blankets were really old, and even the non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. If you just want a cheap, smoker-friendly room, this is it.

We'd been looking forward to staying here after seeing positive reviews on an online booking site. I checked the room before paying, since I know what to look for with cleanliness. When we lifted the mattress cover and looked in the crease underneath, we saw bed bug droppings and movement. No thanks. We washed our hands and left right away.
