Historical Guest House

Bernie was a welcoming and accommodating host. This characterful old home is within walking distance of downtown and has everything you need to look after yourself. There are two bedrooms upstairs and a basement suite, so it feels very private. The shared kitchen and living room keep their historic style, while each bedroom has its own modernized bathroom. I’d definitely stay here again.

The backyard was such a nice spot to hang out and meet other travelers, and Bernie shared great Yukon stories among his beautiful garden. Bernie and Pam made my family feel so welcome. The place was clean and well cared for, and we had a wonderful week there. My son even calls it our Yukon home because it felt that way.

The bathroom was spacious and clean, and we liked having the living room and kitchen to use. We also enjoyed meeting the other travelers and hearing about their experiences. Bernie welcomed us even though our flight was delayed. Staying in the historic house made our Yukon visit even better.

The downtown location was a real plus, with most attractions an easy walk away, and the price was good. The bedroom, living area, kitchen, and washrooms were very clean, and the house had a quaint, comfortable feel. Bernie let us check in early when we arrived. There was no breakfast, as the Hotels.com listing stated. Most of the tea and coffee supplied were past their expiry dates. I texted and emailed Bernie about it but got no response. The heating was also quite poor, though Bernie did provide blankets. All in all, it was a good stay for the location and price.
