Laura and her team are always warm, friendly, and accommodating, and the rooms are spotless with extremely comfortable beds. The August House is beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout and everything you need for a relaxing stay. There's tea and coffee in each room and around the property, plus a lovely complimentary breakfast. My husband and I travel often, and this place really stands out. It was our second stay, and it didn't disappoint. The August House has become our go-to in Windsor, and we'll definitely return.

Downtown Windsor is a short walk away, and groceries, a pharmacy, bakeries, and other things are close by. The inn is central but still private. Owners Collette and Laura are two of the kindest, most thoughtful people you'll meet. The rooms and common areas are spacious and tastefully decorated, and the beds are comfy. The place feels lively but is quiet and easy to relax in. There are Adirondack chairs around the grounds and lovely gardens, so there's always somewhere to sip coffee and listen to the birds. The food was flavourful and plentiful. Coffee and tea are complimentary in the second-floor kitchenette, and there were even ice cream sandwiches for a sweet taste of summer. That was my second weekend at this beautiful inn, and I just finished another glorious stay. I can't wait to come back.

The breakfast was beautifully prepared and high quality, with incredible fresh sourdough to start the day. The rooms were spotless, minimalist, and stylish, and the bathroom felt like its own little spa. Every detail seemed carefully considered. The August House has a calm, easy luxury to it. The common areas are sunlit and lovely, with wide plank wood floors, lights, an analog vinyl setup, board games, and books. The attic-style rooms and shared spaces have sloped ceilings and cozy linens that make them feel like a warm hug. The owners are exceptionally warm, attentive, and clearly care about their craft. They've made a low-touch, high-vibe place that feels like a soulful, impeccable home instead of a hotel. I literally didn't want to leave. If you're exploring the area or touring nearby wineries, book a stay. It's a real treasure.

We arrived at the last minute, stressed after our AirBnB suddenly fell through, and the whole team at The August House welcomed us warmly and went out of their way to help. Colette, Melissa, Laura and Ezra turned a difficult start into the best few days we could have asked for. Melissa's breakfasts were amazing. My partner and I stayed for a few days, and we couldn't have been luckier to find this special hotel. Every room is beautifully decorated and cared for, and it's hard not to feel relaxed and at peace there. It's luxurious and comfortable, and we're so grateful this was the start of our time in Nova Scotia. We couldn't recommend The August House more.

We loved our stay at August House. The included breakfast was delicious, and the location made getting around easy, with a great restaurant and even a concert venue a short walk away. The warm boutique feel made us feel right at home as soon as we walked in. The rooms were much bigger than expected and really comfortable, put together nicely without feeling overdone. August House has lots of charm and is so convenient. I'd definitely stay again.
