Comfort Inn Windsor

I stayed here for a couple of nights on my way to Chicago. The stay was comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was decent. I’d give the staff and service five stars for their hospitality. I forgot my bag in the room, but they kept it in lost and found, contacted me, and I picked it up the next day. Thank you.

Breakfast has some good options, and the service is good too. My only concern is that the hash browns are covered with meat, which can cause cross-contamination for vegetarians. There are still plenty of other things to eat.

We went for a three-day stay after our WEDDING, and it was not relaxing. Check-in was slow. The staff had been kind, patient, and respectful to the customer ahead of us, even giving them complimentary snacks and drinks, but seemed rushed when serving us. The jacuzzi wouldn’t start, though we eventually got it going ourselves. The fridge was broken too, which we only discovered later that night after putting in refrigerated medication that has to stay at a specific temperature. On the last morning, we got a call asking if we were staying longer and to change rooms, then another saying we hadn’t checked out. I’d asked for a late checkout both when booking and at the front desk to make sure. The calls woke us, and then we were told we’d be charged for late checkout. They apologized and said there wasn’t a note on our reservation. Staff aren’t doing their jobs properly. Breakfast was awful. The scrambled eggs were runny, and the hash browns were so hard you could break your teeth. I’d recommend staying somewhere else if you want an enjoyable, relaxing visit. This isn’t the place.

The rooms were super quiet, the beds were great, and there was no door slamming. Service was great and the room was clean. Parking was easy, and I liked having a ground-floor room so it was easier to load and unload the truck.
