The bedding had dirt and stains on it, the towels were coming apart, and the bathroom was seriously grimy. There even looked like spit on the mirrors. In every one of the four rooms we booked, I found problems like walls covered in dirt, a beetle-like thing in a corner, and lamps barely holding together. I had to buy pillows, Clorox wipes, and towels at the Dollarama down the street. I can't see how they call this a four-star place or charge $120 a night. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The beds were comfortable and clean, and the rooms were quiet. Getting downtown was convenient, and the staff were friendly with great service. But the room was cold and felt run down, so I had to ask for another heater. More runners would help with those extremely cold floors, and the rooms could definitely use some work.

I had to drive to the hospital at midnight, crying from the pain after hurting my shoulder in my sleep. The mattress was old and overused, with a deep hole in the middle, and I believe that's what hurt me so badly. Parking was a problem too, and I saw pets there. They charged over $100 for a garbage mattress. What people. By far the worst experience and the worst people. Stay away from this motel. How can you call it a motel?

I was able to have a campfire, with plenty of wood and starter kindling available, and there was a BBQ if I wanted to cook. There was also a covered spot to eat under. The room was quite clean, had some upgrades, and was very comfortable for a night’s rest. Service was friendly, polite, and helpful. The owners and motel were great. I’ll be back.

This wee motel is only 3 mins outside of Wingham, ON, and I love it. We’ve lovingly renamed it The Rose Bud ❤️
