Alida made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and kept that feeling going throughout our two-night stay. The house is cozy and full of character, and it was much nicer than we expected. Everything was fresh and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. We can't wait to come back, and we were eager to tell our family and friends about the place.

Our host made sure we felt at home, pointed out the many features of the house, and was so welcoming. We loved finding books in every room and all the little places to sit and enjoy the house's beauty. Chateau La Motte was a highlight of our recent road trip. It's a stunning, beautifully restored house, elegant but still warm and friendly. We enjoyed exploring the common rooms and looking at the books, art, and accents. Our room was comfortable, with a lovely bath attached, and there were extra pillows and blankets. Breakfast was delicious, and the table had room for two more couples to sit over 6 feet apart, so we could chat while socially distanced. The coffee was fabulous too.

Alida was a fantastic host and made us feel so welcome during our birthday trip. My husband and I stayed in this beautifully restored Victorian mansion, and our stately second-floor room had a small balcony where we enjoyed the wine we'd brought and watched the world go by. Breakfast was plentiful, with cheese, croissants, fruit, and a delicious hot egg strata. We walked to a restaurant for dinner and enjoyed seeing all the lovely homes in the neighbourhood. I highly recommend this BnB.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious with plenty to eat and drink. We stayed on the third floor, where everything was just right: a spacious, quiet room and a comfortable bed. The Chateau is a huge, beautiful house, and the downstairs rooms were lovely too. It was nice to sit and relax there. We felt right at home and definitely plan to return.

We spent several days here for our “babymoon,” and it was incredibly relaxing. The owner made us feel at home and served a delicious breakfast with fresh local produce and treats. The house is beautiful, with distinctive original architecture from when it was built in 1895. It's set on a picturesque lot with gorgeous trees and gardens. The rooms keep the home's original charm while still being comfortable and having modern amenities. We certainly hope to come back!
