Holiday Inn Express & Suites Woodstock South by IHG

The rooms and beds were great and really comfortable, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast wasn't the best I've had, though. I was a little disappointed there was no hot tub, since that would have made my mini vacation much nicer. Still, apart from missing the hot tub, I had a good stay.

The bathtub didn't drain properly during our overnight Saturday stay over Thanksgiving weekend, so the water rose quickly while we showered. The drains are probably clogged and need cleaning. It also would have been nice to have complimentary bottled water in the fridge. I was leaning toward a 3 overall, but breakfast really surprised us. It was genuinely good, with a lot of choices, not just a cheap little meal microwaved and thrown together. The hotel's downtown Woodstock location is convenient, close to restaurants, shops, gas stations, and more. A good place to spend a night.

The rooms were very clean, with spotless bathrooms and comfortable beds. The pool is small but clean and does the job, and the staff were lovely with excellent service. Across the street are restaurants and Walmart, handy if you've forgotten something or want movie snacks. It's a very clean hotel, but the breakfast buffet was pretty limited, so it doesn't quite get five stars.

I've stayed here several times and have never been disappointed by the room or service. During this visit the staff had a hard time keeping the hockey parents and kids quiet, but they really do try.
