We spent much of the evening on the back porch, watching the sun set over the Saint John River and taking lots of photographs. Our downstairs room was private and quiet. Since we visited in summer, it was nice not to be woken by the sun coming up at 5am. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was plentiful, awesome, and made to order. Bruce can cook great eggs. The setting is beautiful, and Bruce & Mary are among the most gracious hosts I've met on my travels. They clearly enjoy getting to know guests and making suitable adjustments for their needs. If you're looking for a place in the Woodstock area, this is probably the one to choose.

We arrived late in the evening on Christmas night, when all the restaurants were closed, and Bruce's family kindly invited us to join them. My husband and I truly enjoyed every moment of the stay with such a lovely, friendly family. Our basement room was very clean and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Our room was comfortable, but the one marked “no view” is in the basement and didn't really have the feel of a B&B. The highlight was the big deck overlooking the river. With the gas fireplace, it made for a lovely evening, and breakfast was fresh and delicious.

Quiet, quaint, and beautifully placed right on the river. Bruce & Mary are excellent hosts, and the bed was comfy and the room clean. Highly recommend.
