Spark By Hilton Woodstock

The room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable, though our King Room felt cramped compared with rooms at other hotels. The shower was spacious, but its water only got warm. Breakfast was complimentary and continental. The choices were limited, but fine for us. Room cleaning happened every other day, which surprised us, though they brought fresh towels daily when we asked. The facility is new and the staff were very helpful. One night, when we returned from a meeting, there was a strong marijuana smell at the entrance that reached our room halfway down the hall. Luckily, the smell in our room was minimal. We mentioned it to the front desk the next morning. It only happened that one night, but we will most likely never return.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff handled the continental breakfast really well. There are restaurants and shops nearby, which is a great location. We came as a hockey team expecting a pool, and were disappointed to find there wasn't one. There isn't even a conference room, so the kids had nothing to do. Noise was the other big problem. You could hear every conversation around the room, doors slamming, and every stomp or creak from upstairs. I ended up buying earplugs. I wouldn't suggest staying here for more than a night just to sleep, especially if you're a light sleeper.

There’s a Timmies next door, restaurants across the street, and Walmart just a few minutes away by car. The location was hard to beat while I was visiting family in mid to late October. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels, though much of the furniture seemed cheaply made. The beds were really uncomfortable, and the pillows felt like they were mostly air. I skipped breakfast that morning and ate elsewhere, but the coffee was decent. Service was average, neither good nor bad. It’s an okay place for a night or two at most.

The bed was the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, and the hotel was super clean. Breakfast was just cold items and bagels. My one gripe was the shower, the water never got properly hot even with the knob turned all the way up.
