What I appreciated most at Platinum Hotel in Kinshasa was how personal the service felt. The staff remembered my preferences, and it was lovely to find my favorite breakfast items waiting at my table each morning. The buffet has plenty of healthy choices, including fruit, salads, sautéed vegetables, and natural honey, along with flavorful Halal and Indian dishes. They’ve also expanded the breakfast selection recently, which shows they listen to feedback. The gym was spotless and well equipped, and the cleanliness throughout was excellent. I saw no mosquitoes, bugs, or rodents. Rooms in the new building have a fresh, modern look and meet international standards. With attentive service and a comfortable stay, this is a standout option in Kinshasa.

I found the staff friendly and accommodating, including the housekeeping and restaurant teams. The desk managers, including the Indian staff, were helpful too. They even offered to help me get a SIM card so I could use my phone on the go. The internet was very stable, and the team worked to keep it that way. The menu covers a lot of cuisines and isn’t especially expensive compared with other hotels. I really enjoyed the pizza. For business travelers looking for a simple place, this is a good choice. I rated the location highly because anyone who knows Kinshasa and the surrounding area will understand why it works so well. I’m Indian myself, and I don’t understand the negative comments about the staff. Please keep up the good service, Hotel Platinum. I don’t trust TripAdvisor reviews or its lodging suggestions much, since the places I’ve tried based on them have turned out to be dumps.

The rooms were very large and comfortable, and I’ve yet to find a better hotel in Matadi. The canteen was great, with delicious food and good service. Wi-Fi and the TV both worked well, until the power went out. That outage wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

I stayed for two weeks and didn’t enjoy it. I prefer to mind my own business as a guest, without having to keep going to reception over basic, obvious things. But I had to go there several times. I wish they’d do more to improve the guest experience.
