Hotel-Restaurant Flaschen

Hotel Flaschen is in a peaceful spot above Leukerbad, with complete quiet and darkness at night, perfect for sleeping. The location is easy to reach by public transport, the cable car is right beside the hotel, and several hiking trails start nearby. I stayed in early October 2025 and felt comfortable throughout. The staff were especially friendly, flexible, and professional. They handled every request quickly and to my full satisfaction, and even had breakfast ready before regular serving time for our early departure. The room and restaurant were excellent, clean, and well maintained. The restaurant has something for everyone, with a clear emphasis on regional products, and the hotel actively supports the nature park it sits in. I can fully recommend it and would gladly return.

Service took ages. The rosti was good, but the breaded chicken breast salad was basically chicken nuggets on a plate with lettuce drenched in cheap dressing, plus a bowl of side salad. The honey parfait was mega alcoholic, and instead of a traditional layered parfait it was a chunk of ice. We took one bite and told the waitress we weren’t happy with it. She didn’t offer a discount, an apology, or anything. Not coming back.

A lovely family-run hotel and restaurant, with great attention to detail. Best food around Leukerbad!

The Gulaschsuppe was great, the rolls were fresh, and the views were amazing.
