Am Pavillon Bed & Kitchen

Anyone who books with the owner of Am Pavillon Bed & Kitchen should keep a close eye on their card statements and contact their card issuer right away if they spot an unapproved charge, even months after the stay. Booking.com partner documentation available to the public says properties can generally access guest card details only for a limited period: often about 14 days before arrival, usually until 10 days after checkout or cancellation, and only a limited number of times. If you find an unauthorized charge from this property outside that access period, report it to your card issuer immediately and consider notifying the relevant authorities. Depending on the circumstances, unauthorized use of stored payment details may breach Booking.com partner policies and could be investigated as potential payment fraud.

I found Am Pavillon B&B listed as the top accommodation on Booking com. I had booked a room and paid for it on 1 June 2025, but today, 7 February 2026, I was charged again by credit card through MANUAL ENTRY, eight months later. The owner, Batt, apparently kept my card number and tried to enter it by hand on the PIN terminal twice. I have proof of the MANUAL ENTRY, and the amount matched what I'd paid for the room. My Wise app screenshots and timestamped notifications show an attempted charge of 135 CHF first, apparently to imitate the room price, followed immediately by an attempt for 30 CHF to check whether there was money on the card. An official police report has now been filed in The Netherlands against S.Batt, owner of "Immobilien und Herbergen Batt" (AM Pavillon), concerning credit card Fråu.d. The card company is conducting an internal investigation. Booking com has its HQ in my country, unlike Scå.mmy Switzerland, so under Dutch Law they won't be able to dismiss this report as they might for victims in other countries. I'll personally bike to their Amsterdam headquarters to hand in the "Formal Fråu.d Report - Merchant Am Pavillon B&B - Legal Obligations and Demands" letter. I don't think Batt realizes how badly he has messed up this time, but he'll find out soon.

The owner is too scared to answer the phone or come to the property and explain why our payment details are being used after bookings. He also can't provide invoices for these alleged charges.

It's an easy three-minute walk to the main station's back entrance on Schanzenstrasse, putting pretty much all of Switzerland within reach. The owner and staff were terrific to talk with and made me feel welcome. The location could hardly be better, and I fully intend to return. I'd recommend it.
