The location is hard to beat, and the stay was comfortable enough. Just be aware that the rooms aren’t quiet, you can hear the neighbours throughout. Cleanliness was okay, though we found someone else’s hair in the bathroom and on a pillow 😅. It didn’t bother us much, but picky guests may mind. The staff weren’t especially friendly, and barely spoke German or English. Still, I’d recommend the place.

We were lucky to get a room overlooking the Rhein, and found it very comfortable. The trams and buses stop right outside, while the old city and tourist spots are only a two-minute walk across the bridge. We also liked browsing the regular shops nearby, including the department store where food was cheaper. Check-in was basically fine as a self-service process, though it took us a while to figure out how the room key worked for the lift. We’d hoped to leave our bags early, but couldn’t use the locker because we didn’t have a €1 coin.

Good location and cheap, but the owners have made every part of self check-in needlessly painful. Change your iPad software, you silly folks.

The location is pretty nice, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying here. Late one evening, after we were already in bed, strangers came into our room. Maybe it had been double-booked, or maybe their key card opened our door too. We don’t know. With no reception, we couldn’t ask anyone what had happened, so we emailed. The first message was ignored. After a second one, we got a brief apology, but no explanation. It feels like cutting staffing costs is the main focus, even though the system is faulty.

The room was clean, and getting in through self check-in was quick and easy. Lovely river view and a great location. Just right for a short stay.
