The owner’s rigid approach left me feeling talked down to, and I felt he just wanted to keep my money. There was no listening, flexibility, or attempt to find a solution. I understand that policies have to be followed, but they can still be handled with respect and understanding. His communication lacked basic courtesy and any sense of hospitality or customer care. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values a professional, welcoming attitude.

I was in town for a business trip and stayed one night. It’s a very nice little hotel, and the rooms have recently been refreshed.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and reception was kind and mindful of privacy. There’s nearby parking, and the location is good for walking pretty much anywhere. If I return to Basel, I’ll definitely stay here again. Totally recommend it.

A beautiful back garden when it’s not raining, and only a few minutes on foot from the zoo. The bed was comfy, the place spotless and quiet, and the staff were flexible and friendly. Good value too. I’ll be back 🙏
