The apartment was very spacious and fairly quiet for a city location, and having a private washing machine was handy. There were enough towels, toilet rolls and shower gel. Still, some of the equipment wasn't in good shape and the cleanliness could have been better. The stairwell smelled awful, and there was a smell of smoking now and then despite it being a non-smoking building. No lift, either. We booked for two adults but found only one single duvet on the bed, though there was another one and a cleanliness cover in the wardrobe. They'd also left just one teaspoon.

We had a pleasant stay in this spacious apartment, with plenty of room for two and a reasonable price. It's about a 15-minute walk from Basel center. The one real letdown was the advertised Wi-Fi, which wasn't there. That's especially inconvenient in Switzerland because they don't have a roaming agreement.

Getting to the second floor with luggage was difficult since there was no lift and no one available to help carry bags. Basel SBB also isn't particularly close.

The apartment had a TV and Wi-Fi, and I appreciated how promptly Issa Mara communicated. Still, there was no reception, and email or the rental app were the only ways to get in touch. When the door code arrived late at the last minute, that left me stressed. The building has four floors and no elevator. The furniture looked complete but was old and uncomfortable, with hardly any pillows. I woke up with a sore neck. Basel is cold even in May, and the duvets weren't warm enough. The heating was on but the room stayed cold. There were no slippers for the bathroom. I won't book this place or another one from this company again.
