The rooms are good, and it's a good hotel, though it's a bit out on the other side of town. Tram number 6 gets you into town in a few minutes. It takes 2-3 minutes for the water to get hot.

Raissa at reception was so kind and gave us really great service. The hotel also offered a discount for parking right beside it at ‘Parkhaus Badischer Bahnof’. We were given a card for getting into the city center too, which came in handy. Thanks, Raissa!

We chose The Royal because it suited our plans perfectly. It's right opposite the local train station, with a major tram and bus hub nearby, and the transport was all free. There's a pharmacy, Maccas 🙄 and a few small restaurants close by, though we ate in the main part of town. Our room picked up a bit of transport noise, but it didn't bother us, and the aircon was awesome. The front desk lass was really friendly and spoke English.

The location is really convenient, and the staff are helpful and polite. Seems like a good choice for a short stay.

For our sixth anniversary, my girlfriend and I stayed at the Royal Hotel in Basel. They arranged a rooftop suite with a terrace and bathtub, which made the occasion feel extra special and gave us a relaxing place to unwind. Everything went smoothly, we felt welcome, and we'd definitely stay again when we're back in Basel.
