The chalet was spotless when we arrived, with everything we needed ready for us. The rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms thoroughly cleaned, and the kitchen had all the necessities. It’s big enough for two families, and the view is the best. Highly recommended.

I still think of this as my grandfather's house. It used to be a little gem in Beatenberg, but since it changed owners, it feels like a different place. The affection, care, respect, and charm it once had seem to be gone. I hope the owners will look after the house and give each guest the wonderful stay they deserve.

I wouldn't recommend going if you don't want to feel you've wasted your money. The place was very dirty, and the owner seemed bothered when we called for information. We had the chalet to ourselves, but could hear noises upstairs, so obviously someone lives there. The radiators couldn't be turned down. At 9:45 the next morning, workers woke us because they had to work on the apartment above. Then at 10:30 the cleaners called, even though we had been told to leave by 11:30. Outside, there were unlit cigarettes everywhere that hadn't been cleared away. I'd posted a review before, but somehow it disappeared. Make of that what you will.
