City Hotel Biel Bienne

Breakfast was good, and the staff were kind. The room itself was the weak point: it was hot enough in July, with 35 degrees outside, that sleeping felt impossible. There was no air conditioning, and the shower was tiny. The room was large enough for one or two people, and the beds were okay.

The room was clean and comfortable, and felt much nicer than the lobby and hallways. The hotel is dated overall, but for Switzerland the price seemed quite reasonable.

We paid much less here than at the other places we stayed in Switzerland, and free parking was a welcome extra. The place was clean, and breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from. The rooms are noisy because the walls are thin, but otherwise I couldn't fault it. Good value for the price.

There were spider webs everywhere, the sheets weren't clean, and no staff were around after 9 pm. With no AC and poor quality throughout, the place felt dirty and miserable. I wouldn't want anyone to risk their health by staying here. The worst place in Europe. I don't know how authorities in Switzerland allow this kind of hospitality.
