The lake looked gorgeous from our room, and having a terrace made it easy to sit out and take it all in. The bus stop right outside was handy when we arrived and left. The family who runs Hotel Oberländerhof made us feel so welcome, and we enjoyed the breakfast, dinner, and drinks. They really made our time in Switzerland even better.

After swimming in the lake, we came here for dinner and had a lovely time. The portions were generous and the food was great, so it felt like good value. Our hostess was warm and funny, let me try Rivella on my first visit to Switzerland, and kept us laughing with her jokes. She also gave us maps of the region, including extra copies to take along.

The lake-facing room was lovely, and getting around was easy since the jet-boat and bus stops are right across from the hotel. The food was amazing, and the hospitality was so warm. I'd happily come back and recommend it to my friends.

We left without ordering. After we said hello, the waitress walked right past us without responding and looked angry. We had to pick up the menu ourselves, and she didn't say a word the whole time. With the rating this place has, I expected at least basic manners. A very odd experience.

The decor is a little eccentric in spots, but it adds to the charm. We had delicious food, presented nicely, and the service was really friendly. It seems just right for a night or two, and the price felt fair. I'd recommend it.
