The house was practical and had everything you'd expect, down to a needle and thread. Parking wasn't a problem, the location was great for evening family walks, and it was very close to the lake. The value for money seemed excellent. I actually wrote that on our second day, but our last day ended in a serious accident: our 1.5-year-old baby was electrocuted because of a broken bedroom outlet. We don't know exactly how it happened, but the baby pulled part of the outlet off and the house fuses blew. We couldn't get help through any of the numbers we'd been given.

The river is right there, and you can hear it as soon as you open the window. The balcony looks over it and has glass enclosure to keep insects out. The apartment was clean, safe, comfortable, and fully equipped, with a Nespresso machine and Starbucks capsules. I loved the hospitality, especially the chocolates waiting for us when we arrived! 💓 There is plenty of parking, and the apartment is close to the lake, though the town center is about a ten-minute walk away. There aren't cafes or restaurants nearby, only in town. The shared laundry room is downstairs, with instructions on a notice board there. Google Maps describes the entrance a bit inaccurately. It's opposite or just before the entrance to the Titlis resort. Look for the bright yellow building, after the pink one on the main street as you enter Engelberg.
