The breakfast was excellent, though the prix fixe dinner was just okay. The view from the west-facing room was lovely, but it got a bit warm in the evening. The room itself was on the small side, with a large bathroom, excellent linens, and everything in perfect condition. The pool and terrace were great, and the setting was very quiet, which might not suit some kids.

The location is the real highlight, with astonishing views from the hotel and the rooms. Staff were friendly and kind, and the quiet surroundings make for a relaxing break if you don't mind an uncomfortable bed. The rooms and general comfort let the place down, though, so I'd probably choose somewhere else next time if I had the option. The hotel is quite large, and there are plenty of activities nearby.

Dinner was great. I'd start with a cold beer and have the fish with a nice white wine. Breakfast was nothing special, just classic Swiss-Italians. There was no air conditioning, and I sweated half my body weight, though my friends slept fine. I also had to kill a few mosquitoes in the room before bed.

The restaurant food was great, and the hotel is in a great spot by the lake. To the owner, I returned the key for room 21 and should get it shortly. Sorry about that.
