The location is right by major city attractions, and most are walkable. Breakfast was okay but had a limited selection, so it wasn’t something to enjoy much. Still, it was a useful extra for a one- or two-night stay. The Wi-Fi was faulty and very frustrating. One staff member working around 2 pm on October 15, 2025, was extremely unreliable. He was bald, about 5'9", and kept talking on the phone. We asked if there was a microwave to heat our food, and he flatly said no. We doubted that, since many hotels have one, and another staff member confirmed there was one in the kitchen that we could use. The bald employee seemed inefficient and lazy, and didn’t seem interested in helping guests. I don’t understand why the hotel hired someone whose competence is questionable, especially with its ratings and reviews declining. Our stay was okay, but I really wouldn’t recommend staying here longer than a night or two.

The room was tiny and very dated, and the hallway smelled musty, so I wouldn’t want to stay for a long trip. It’s a long walk from the train station if you like walking, but the hotel is near restaurants, shops, and Jet d’Eau. Maybe decent for a single night, otherwise I’d go elsewhere. The staff weren’t very warm. When I arrived, the man at the desk kept doing what he was doing without acknowledging me until he eventually looked up. After checking me in, I asked for restaurant suggestions and he said he didn’t know. You’d expect someone at reception to know where a visitor could get food.

Daytime reception staff were rude and arrogant, too busy watching football and playing games on his phone to even say hello. The young man on the night shift was great. Construction at the neighboring properties made check-in noisy, though it had stopped by the time we got back in the early evening. Then heavy work started at 7 am, breaking concrete, banging pipes, and drilling into concrete. The noise was ridiculous. I’ll cancel my return visit in five weeks because of the construction and the daytime reception staff.

The location is great, but everything else was bad. The hotel never replied to my emails, and staff didn’t give us the free transport ticket until we asked. Breakfast was so poor I didn’t eat it after trying it once, and there were mosquitoes on all the food. There’s no AC in the rooms, Wi-Fi only works about 20% of the time, and staff weren’t polite or respectful. Pick somewhere else.
