We felt so well cared for throughout our anniversary stay. The team were genuinely friendly and attentive, and a room upgrade made the celebration feel even more special. Every arrangement we'd asked for was ready, and the thought behind the details was clear. The room was beautiful and comfortable, the food was excellent, and even the pillows were just right. We're deeply grateful and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

For my first visit to Geneva, I couldn't have picked a better hotel. The Mandarin Oriental Geneva sets an incredible standard for luxury, with an immaculate property, outstanding food, and a suite that felt unreal: a huge private rooftop, walk-in closet, sauna, wonderfully comfortable bed, and the most luxurious towels. Room service was generous and beautifully done. The location is perfect for walking around, and the concierge was fantastic with watchmaking tours and experiences. Guest Services gave us a beautiful book to remember the trip, an unforgettable touch. We booked through American Express and got an incredible upgrade. The team knew it was my husband's birthday and went above and beyond throughout. Marianna Rakotomana looked after every birthday arrangement with such care, from check-in through the stay, that we're still amazed by the service. Denise, Mannon, Guillaume, Leo, and Anthony were all warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every interaction. One of the best hotel stays of my life, and easily one of the best hotels in the world.

We had an outstanding stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Geneva. The room was spacious, elegant, and very comfortable, with lovely views, and service throughout the hotel was impeccable. A highlight of the trip was dinner at SACHI. The Japanese food was refined and excellent quality, and the experience was memorable. I'd recommend it even if you're not staying at the hotel. A perfect pick for a luxurious visit to Geneva.

Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh, tasty things to start the day. The location was ideal, and everything felt thoughtfully taken care of. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for a better stay in Geneva. Highly recommend it for any occasion. I'll definitely come back to Geneva and to Mandarin oriental! Thank you.

The doorman service was excellent, but that was the one clear high point. This was the worst stay I've had at a Mandarin Oriental, though it wasn't a horrible experience. I've stayed many times at both MO properties in Hong Kong and London, and less often in Istanbul, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Singapore was the least fancy of those, but still an excellent hotel with superior service. During COVID, I shifted my loyalty to Four Seasons and Park Hyatt, but I was looking forward to the Mandarin Oriental Geneva. I usually stay at Beau Rivage or Four Seasons in Geneva, but business partners chose the MO Geneva for this trip. My room faced the water, though the layout was odd: a small bathroom with a shower and sink, and a much larger room with a bathtub without an enclosure or curtain, a bidet, and another sink. Neither sink drained well. The shower sprayed water around the bathroom, and unless its door was carefully sealed, which was hard to do from inside, the whole floor got wet. The body wash was completely empty, so I had to use shampoo when I showered after arriving. I reported these problems within two hours of arrival. They only checked the soap issue at first, and the shower wasn't repaired until I raised it again on my third day. There were no international outlets near the workspace, which was inconvenient. Housekeeping also missed the room on two days, even though my do not disturb sign was on for only two or three hours between 9 am and 5 pm. Restaurant service was the biggest ongoing problem. The Japanese restaurant was fine, though not at the level I know in Tokyo. The bar was acceptable but very slow, and breakfast was terrible. They were slow and repeatedly forgot things they'd confirmed: bottled water, Tabasco twice, coffee twice, and putting coffee in a mug so my handicapped friend could manage it, which I had to ask for three times. They ignored a spill until we pointed out that we expected it cleaned up. Staff generally weren't attentive or thoughtful, and every meal service had at least one poor service incident. The food was competent but nothing special. Breakfast was okay, about what I'd expect at a Marriott, and the bar pours were light. Staff hyped the Japanese restaurant a lot, but it was competent and still disappointed me since they billed it as the best in Geneva. I often have omakase in cities with better sushi, including Tokyo, New York, London, Seattle, and Singapore, so I don't blame the restaurant for that expectation. The server also didn't know the difference between chu toro and otoro. This level of service is below what I'd expect even at a budget hotel, let alone a Mandarin Oriental.
