Shaken, not stirred! Marco is the best bartender, and the old-fashioned cocktail bar is super cool. The staff were polite and helpful, and both breakfast and the food were excellent. Right by the lake, the hotel feels like stepping back into the 19th century. It’s beautifully refurbished, with an old-fashioned charm. If you want to feel like James Bond, go there!

The balcony was a great place to spend a quiet evening watching the world go by, with a lovely view over the lake. It’s a peaceful hotel, easy to walk into town from, and there are shops nearby for evening snacks and drinks. The location also works well for Rigi and Stoosbahnen, and it’s an easy drive to Lucerne and the other big attractions, Gemlerbahn and Schilthornbahn. Zurich airport is only about an hour away. I’d researched several hotels in the area before booking, and this one lived up to its promise. The lake and mountain views are hard to beat. Rooms were clean, the facilities were good, and the breakfast had an amazing choice. Parking in front of the hotel is useful, and the spa, with its saunas, steam room, and other facilities, is excellent. I’d certainly recommend staying here.

Ahmed greeted us warmly when we arrived for a romantic lunch, and his professional, welcoming manner set a lovely tone for the afternoon. The setting is stunning and the service was top. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely visit again. Thank you, Ahmed, for making our afternoon so special!

The only rough patch came on departure day, when drilling woke me at 7:40 am, probably because rooms were being renovated. It wasn’t pleasant, but I didn’t lower my rating because the stay as a whole was fantastic. The room had a breathtaking panoramic view, and the hotel is beautifully set in the mountains beside the lake. The spa was great, with three saunas, two dry and one hammam, and massages cost 120 CHF for 50 minutes, a reasonable price. There were bathrobes, slippers, tea facilities, and a complimentary minibar with beer and soft drinks in the room. Breakfast was excellent, with sparkling wine, and the staff were very friendly. It’s a place I’d truly want to return to.
