The beds were comfortable, and the house was clean and modern. Our hostess was so accommodating, even making eggs for breakfast. Her homemade pumpkin jam was delicious.

The breakfast was unusually generous and really good for a guesthouse. We stayed 11 nights and found the place very clean and comfortable, with lots of helpful excursion tips. It's a lovely guesthouse at a reasonable price by Swiss standards. Konstanz's lively center is only about 10 minutes from the quiet residential area.

The lake is just 5 steps away, and the courtyard is lovely, almost as if it borders a forest. It feels quiet and outside the city, though shops and cafes are only 3 minutes away in the other direction. The train station is 5-7 minutes on foot, and Konstanz center is a 15-minute walk. There's a direct train nearby to the Waterfall and Steim am Reim, both well worth seeing. My husband and I stayed from October 26th to 31st, 2017, and felt so welcome. The house was comfortable and homey, and the hostess was wonderful. Although we knew very little English, we understood everything. She patiently answered questions, explained where to go and how to get there, gave us maps and brochures, and even offered sandwiches for the road. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality.

Breakfast was plentiful, and Frau Duve shared great insider tips. The house is in a peaceful spot, but Konstanz is only about a 10-15 minute walk away. My son and I spent two nights there in May 2017 while on a cycling tour. It's very family-run, and we had everything we needed. Given the very reasonable price for Switzerland, I highly recommend Frau Duve's place.
