There’s still time over the next few October evenings to visit “Bären” in Langhental (BE) and try the fragrant borscht. It’s packed with flavor and brought back memories of childhood. The service was first-rate, and the black bread fried in vegetable oil with salt had that same nostalgic touch, like something my mum and grandmother would make with care. Soft lighting, a cozy room, and attentive, professional waiters made it a lovely autumn evening. Bon appétit, and enjoy the season!

My partner suggested the house salad with chicken when we had brunch here, and she picked well. The salad was crisp and came in a generous portion. The chicken was warm, tender, and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it.

We stopped in Langenthal for a short visit and had lunch at the hotel restaurant. The food was perfect, and the hospitality and service were even better. Thanks!

The staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the location is great. There can be quite a bit of traffic in the evening if you're sitting on the terrace. The room was nice, with an interesting interior, and the restaurant was good, though at Swiss prices. Breakfast was simple but enough. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel service was excellent, but I was very let down by the restaurant food. Having travelled and eaten around Europe, I found it overpriced and below what I would expect from a hotel of this class.
