We had several kinds of high quality meat, including duck, pheasant, beef, lamb and veal, cooked right at the table in broth. Delicious.

The service was exceptionally friendly, and the wines from Saillon and nearby were very good choices with the meal. We were in a charming medieval village setting, enjoying excellent game with a spiced sauce. Everything felt just right.

The dining room has just six tables, which makes reservations essential and lets them look after guests well. We had a magnificent evening, from the warm welcome to the perfect service. The menu and wine list, both featuring local products, were fantastic. Many thanks to the owner and chef. See you soon.

The wines were a lovely match for the meal. I had a perfectly slow-cooked beef steak, with an incredible wine and blueberry sauce. Before that, the asparagus mousse with foie gras was excellent, probably made with a siphon, and dessert was a cute little strawberry tart.

The meat was good, and I like a place with limited choices when it still has a personal touch. This one had a lovely setting, but the service was mediocre. They left a glass stained after white wine had been served in it, which really wasn't necessary. With a restaurant like this, I'd expected more sophisticated cooking.
