The location is the one good thing, right by the station, so it works if you have an early departure. The washroom is outside the room. If you arrive when reception is closed, be prepared: your key also opens the reception, though nobody told me that. The person who explained it was rude, and then started hitting the doors.
How much does a night cost?
The kitchen is well equipped, and my room was pleasant and clean. The location is very good, and I got an excellent welcome. I'm especially grateful to the manager, Mrs. Moret, for being so attentive and kind.
I've just completed my fourth short visit to Pension Bienvenue, each one three nights, and things have been clear, welcoming, and well organized every time. The common spaces are spacious, clean, and quiet, and the place is comfortable and reassuring. I felt at ease on every stay, and we had everything we needed. Train noise is the one possible drawback for anyone sensitive to it. How much you hear depends on the room. Otherwise, I really recommend it.
Pension Bienvenue gave me a lot of comfort during a very difficult personal time, and this long weekend did me good. Before arriving, I hadn't traveled alone much, but the email exchanges reassured me. Once I got to my room, I was delighted to find everything I needed. I could make meals and coffee in the shared kitchen, and the guesthouse was quiet enough to relax in. Trains pass very often because the building is just a two-minute walk from the station, which might bother some people. The staff were welcoming and could help with train information and assistance. There's also a Coop supermarket a minute away for groceries. Thank you so much.
