VISIONAPARTMENTS Lucerne Neustadtstrasse

We took two rooms for the night of Oct 11th. The rooms were okay and had facilities for cooking, and we could walk to both the station and the lake. The big problem was that there was no reception or anyone to guide us. We also asked to leave our luggage for a few hours, but there was no option for that. We had to book an extra day just to keep our bags, which was shocking.

The location was convenient, about a 15-minute walk from the train station, but expect to hear trains at night. We had a bad experience otherwise. Our room hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, and sorting it out took a lot of back and forth. We even had to ask another guest for help, since they were also still waiting for their access code. We finally got in at 4.30pm. It was listed as a mini studio, but there was nowhere to sit. There was only enough room for the bed and our suitcases, and communication was poor.

I booked a Studio Mini and received a Christmas Scratch card that promised a gift. After scratching it, I had to enter my personal data to reveal a code for a free room upgrade. No conditions were mentioned. When I asked to upgrade, I was told it wasn’t available for my booking type and shown conditions I’d never seen before. Such a shame. I’m pretty sure this is also illegal, and probably just a way to collect personal data.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. On the day of my reservation, I felt scammed. I booked through Chase and paid, but Vision Apartments never sent me a confirmation email with a booking number, which I needed to complete the check-in steps. I’m assuming the reservation was never actually booked, and I couldn’t get anyone to answer the customer service number. After reading awful reviews about bed bugs, tiny spaces, and poor customer service, I’m glad I didn’t stay.
