Bangin Salih made me feel so welcome, from the warm greeting when I arrived to being there again at checkout. He’s kind, positive, and has such warm energy. I’ve never had this level of kindness at a hotel before. He even offered a few thoughtful perks based on what I like, which made the stay feel personal and special. Big thanks to the best receptionist in the world, Bangin Salih 🫶🏼 My room was luxurious and beyond what I expected. The only little issue was the bathroom outlet, which didn’t seem to work properly and made using my hair tools difficult. That was minor compared to everything else. I had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. Five stars from me.

The receptionist was friendly, the room was clean and spacious, and the view was nice, although partly blocked from the first floor. The location is handy, near a bus stop and within a 20 minute walk of Lucerne’s old town. Still, the room had uncomfortable pillows and a mediocre mattress, no fridge or safe, and a sewer smell from the shower. The heating was uneven, leaving the area by the balcony door cold. The Wi-Fi was unusable, disconnecting every few minutes with barely any signal in my first-floor room. I had to buy an online SIM card because the hotel Wi-Fi was pointless. The walls are thin too, so you hear other rooms’ doors slamming. Breakfast was 29 CHF for a very basic continental spread, which felt overpriced. Parking costs an absurd 35 CHF per night, and it isn’t covered. From the main road, you have to climb steep stairs or tackle a tough uphill slope to reach the hotel.

The peaceful, beautiful setting made it easy to relax, and the hotel was still convenient for exploring the city. What really made our stay unforgettable was Arad’s service. He was kind, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and his recommendations were spot-on. Thanks to him, we visited Mount Rigi and its amazing hot springs, one of the highlights of our trip. I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Hotel in Lucerne.

Getting up the hill can be quite a climb, so with lots of luggage, take a taxi or Bus No. 14. Once there, the hotel is comfortable, well-maintained, and perfectly placed to enjoy the surroundings. The views are stunning, and waking up to that scenery every day was a highlight. Service was impeccable throughout, especially from Bangin Salih, the front desk manager, who gave us a warm welcome and made the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel has breathtaking views over Lake Lucerne, and it’s an easy walk to great restaurants and the charming Old Town. It’s a stunning place and the location made everything convenient. Bangin, the concierge, was a big part of why I had such a wonderful experience. He’s professional and has excellent manners, but also communicates with guests in a naturally warm and respectful way. He was kind, attentive, and always ready to help. His directions and recommendations were spot-on, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy our stay.
