Breakfast was included, was great, and had gluten-free options. Parking was available offsite, with very clear directions, and the staff had great restaurant suggestions. The hotel sits in the heart of the Old Town, steps from the river. Our room was clean and updated, and the terrace had a slight river view. Having coffee and water included in the room was a lovely touch.

The staff were attentive, and we had lovely meals at both the Italian restaurant on site and the Swiss Beer House next door. We were lucky to get upgraded to a one-bedroom suite with a spa bath. The Old Town location was ideal, just steps from the river with a view over the Chapel Bridge. Bahnhof was an easy 5-10 minute walk, which made arriving and leaving simple.

Before my trip, I was diagnosed with a devastating condition and had to cancel all my hotels and flights, redirecting the money toward medical care. I contacted every hotel on my itinerary to ask whether a refund or credit might be possible. Two of the four refunded me in full, and another gave me 75% back, even though all the bookings were non-refundable. This hotel offered no compensation and not even a word of sympathy. I booked it because of the strong Google reviews about customer service, but this interaction showed me their priorities were squeezing every dime from a customer. I could never recommend the hotel after such a heartless response, and ask future guests to consider other places.

We had to catch an early train before breakfast service started, and the staff kindly put together a takeaway breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location couldn't have been better. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food too. I'll be dreaming about that risotto. Such a wonderful stay, with really helpful and accommodating staff.
