Hotel Le Stelle - self check-in

We first stopped at Rokka in Luzern on 8th December, around 6.45pm, just as they were about to close. The woman working there still went out of her way to make Theo for us, and it was absolutely smashing. We were impressed enough to return today and try Luna and Maya. Maya was outstanding, though I didn’t care for Luna. We were on vacation in Luzern, so this is goodbye for now. Wishing her good fortune, and until next time :)

We had a three-person room with our toddler, and the top bunk had a solid wood rail that felt safe for our 2-year-old. There was plenty of storage and lots of outlets, including USB charging points, so we didn’t need adapters. The room and bathroom were spacious, with blackout curtains, and everything felt quiet, cozy, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had what we needed for simple meals, and the washing machine and dryer were great. Getting checked in was quick and easy. The location is central and handy, with a cafe downstairs, a supermarket a few steps away, and most places within walking distance. The train station is only a 10-minute walk. The automatic heating made the room a little hot at night, but turning on the AC brought it to a comfortable temperature.

The room was large, with a handy little kitchen, and the central location was great. It has a quirky feel. The air conditioning made some noise, but it didn’t affect our stay.

The location is central, the decor has a cool vibe, and the place has AC. If you skip daily cleaning, you can get a free drink at the cafe. Tea and a water carafe are free too, and they respond quickly to emails and calls. But there’s no free coffee, and the pillows are very flat. The AC, or something else, made a loud noise every few minutes, and the fridge could be loud too. Sound carries between the rooms and hallways, which was especially rough for rooms on the first floor and near the laundry. The front door was always open. There is an elevator, but you still can’t avoid stairs. The shower had shampoo but no soap, and the kitchenette had hand soap but no dish soap.
