We ate at the hotel both evenings, trying the Michelin star restaurant one night and the casual restaurant the other. The staff were helpful and friendly, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a great stay. Guests staying several nights get a free pass for local gondolas and similar attractions.

The location works well, with public transport and activities nearby, and the rooms are modern, clean, and a good size, as is the rest of the hotel. I was surprised to hear it had already been open for a few years. The decor feels like a mix of styles that doesn’t quite come together. The spa is clean and modern and in OK condition, but there isn’t much to it. I noticed that an issue shown in an earlier reviewer’s spa photo still hasn’t been fixed. Service and attention to detail are where the hotel falls short compared with boutique hotels at similar prices. I won’t go into specifics. One other thing, the restaurant isn’t connected to the hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

We wanted a peaceful base for hiking, away from busy St.Moritz and larger villages, and this was just right. It’s a short walk from the train station, and we easily reached St.moritz for hikes in Maloja and the Swiss National Park. At check-in they offered us a local travel pass, and someone greeted us at the door, lovely little touches. The staff were warm, genuine, and attentive; the hotel was clean, stylish, and charming in quiet surroundings. Our room and bed were comfortable, and the bathroom was large. The food and cocktails were amazing. The gourmet restaurant was a real treat: the Hirsch Fillet for two was exquisite and highly recommended, and the homemade ice cream and sorbets were sensational. The head chef came around to greet guests and explain the food, which made it feel special. It rained for most of our stay, so we missed having a drink in the garden, but we’ll be back. It’s a wonderful place to return to after a hike, and we’d like to make this an annual retreat.

The rooms are stylish and comfortable, the lounge is a lovely place for a drink, and breakfast was small but exquisite. Our host was friendly without hovering. We loved the whole stay. Next time we’ll try dinner too, and make sure to visit the spa! 😍😊😎🤩🇨🇭👍
