It’s Sunday night, not even midnight, and after three hours I still can’t sleep. Noise from both neighboring rooms and cigarette smoke coming into mine are unbearable. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, especially at 97 CHF.

Service was very slow, and the receptionist was on Zoom. The hair dryer was broken, so we had to tape it to stop it turning on.

The room itself was clean and comfortable, but I had a really disappointing stay. The walls barely blocked any sound, and the upstairs guests were screaming and jumping around from midnight until 7am. I tried calling reception and the emergency numbers, but got no answer. I ended up speaking to the neighbors myself, and it didn’t help. With no staff available, the whole situation felt even more chaotic.

The staff were very friendly and let us check in early. Our room was spacious and clean, with a bathtub and a good shower. The furniture looked a little dated, but that didn’t bother us and we slept well. It’s about a six-minute walk from the train station, yet quiet at night. I’d stay here again when I’m in the area.
