The property and its location are excellent, but our stay was far less enjoyable than we expected. The hotel seems to offer only twin beds, with no double, queen, or king-size option. We also had a very poor interaction with a female staff member. She didn’t introduce herself and immediately accused us of leaving garbage outside another building. We explained several times that neither the building nor the garbage was ours, but she kept blaming us without listening. We found the exchange highly unprofessional and discriminatory. Other things added to the frustration: guests have to wash their own dishes and leave the room clean before checkout, which felt unusual at hotel prices. Toiletries were supplied only once and weren’t replenished. Management also didn’t effectively deal with excessive noise from other guests, which significantly affected our comfort.

We spent Christmas season 2025/26 at Swiss Peak in Meiringen for a family ski holiday and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and always made us feel welcome. Prices in the area are typically Swiss 😁, but the quality and location made it worthwhile. Getting to the gondola was easy, about a five-minute walk, so we didn’t need the car. There was also a ski container right at the gondola station, which made starting the day convenient. The apartment was around 40 sqm, well laid out for a family, and had two rooms with a double bed and a sofa bed. We liked the small terrace too. The kitchenette had a dishwasher and a fridge with a freezer compartment, and there was a medium-sized TV in the living room. Free Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay. Shared facilities included a sauna open daily from 12:00 to 7:30 pm and a gaming room open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. A great option for families and skiers, with practical amenities, a convenient location, and excellent service. We’d definitely stay again.

There’s a kitchen, but even basics like oil and salt weren’t provided, so what’s the point? We also had to take out our own trash, strip the linen, and wash the dishes. I go on a trip to relax, not to do chores. They charge extra for toilet tissue and trash bags, and don’t even provide hand soap. Wouldn’t recommend it.

A group of people of Indian origin keeps gathering late at night and being loud until nearly midnight. The disturbances are recurring, and nobody seems to step in. It’s disruptive and doesn’t meet basic standards for living alongside others. This isn’t about ethnicity; it’s about respect for shared spaces and quiet hours. Management should act urgently before things escalate, enforce quiet hours, warn people, and penalize repeat offenders. Everyone deserves to sleep peacefully and have a respectful environment. Please address the noise fairly, without generalizing based on ethnicity, and apply the rules to any group or individual who breaks them, regardless of background.

We spent four days at Swiss Peak Resort Merrigen during our family holiday in Switzerland in May 2026. The apartments are spacious and well maintained. There’s no fan or microwave in the apartment unless you ask reception for one and carry it up yourself. A fan is especially needed if you visit in May. There was just one person at reception handling multiple tasks, which could be challenging for guests. They also take a 100 CHF deposit even for a one-day stay. It’s blocked on your card, and you can use it again two weeks after checkout. Before leaving, you have to put the garbage in the bin, leave bed linen and towels outside the apartment door, and clean and return everything you used to its place.
