A really good hotel with lots of facilities, right next to the train station.

We had a great stay and would come back. The hotel exceeded my expectations, especially after the previous B&B. It’s right by the railway station but quiet, and the inside feels new and modern. Everything was clean and in order, the furniture was new, and it all worked. The big shower was spotless, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the paintings brought some color and mood to the room. Big windows gave us great views, with shutters, and the air conditioning worked well and could be adjusted or turned off. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. There wasn’t a huge choice, but it was enough. Service was nice and quick. Remember to get your free Ticino ticket if you need one. There’s a nice restaurant in the hotel, though on Sunday evening they served only pizza, which was still nice. It’s a pleasant walk to the old city center and view points.

This was one of our favorite hotels during our five-week walk across Switzerland. The hotel is perfectly placed for the Via Gottardo, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. Our modern room at the back was clean and beautifully presented, and it stayed quiet. Breakfast was good, even with some staff issues that day. The duty manager apologized.

We booked a room for a weekend but had to cancel at short notice because our child got sick. The hotel asked us to pay for one night, which would have seemed fair if the room had stayed empty and they’d lost the money. But they sold it again, so we don’t understand why they charged us for the same room twice. It felt really unprofessional and greedy. I wouldn’t recommend staying there.
