Les Mazots du Clos

We came away delighted after a peaceful family stay at Les Mazots du Clos in the Swiss Alps. My wife, our baby, and I were welcomed warmly, and the staff gave us thoughtful, personal attention throughout. The intimate, elegantly designed rooms were cozy and had the comforts we needed. We could relax at the spa while our baby napped peacefully, and the staff were attentive to every need. It was a lovely mix of luxury and calm, and I’d highly recommend it to families looking for a tranquil Swiss Alps retreat.

We spent the whole weekend, Friday to Sunday, at Mazots du Clos with our family and had the entire venue to ourselves. It made the wedding feel intimate and special. The place worked beautifully for every part of it, from aperitifs and dinner to the party, and the hotel rooms gave our family a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly, proactive, and attentive, often taking care of things before we had to ask. Everyone loved the exquisite food, and the spa was luxurious and impeccably clean, just right for unwinding after the wedding day. Breakfast was another highlight, especially the best pain au chocolat I’ve ever had! :-) Afterward, the bar below the restaurant became a vibrant, magical spot for celebrating with our guests. The views from the property made our photos feel dreamlike, and we’ll treasure them. Mazots du Clos gave us a fairytale wedding, and I’d give it more than five stars if I could. The restaurant food was tasty, though expensive, and breakfast was very nice. We also liked the beautiful room and its view, and the property itself is lovely. The service left us a little underwhelmed. When we arrived, no one was around, so we walked the property with our luggage looking for someone and eventually had to call to check in. The process was rushed, and they quickly showed us to the room. Everything was decorated nicely, but the atmosphere felt cold and there wasn’t much personal hospitality. Management never asked how we were or how we liked the stay, which was a shame given the property and its great reviews. One small spa issue: the indoor jacuzzi was too cold for us to use.

We’ve stayed here twice and have found it top notch both times. The staff were extremely nice, and the cooks even made two meals for our baby at no charge. The hotel is very well located and decorated, and the restaurant serves great food in a lovely atmosphere. Warmly recommended!
