The meals were the highlight. Dinner was fresh and tasty, and for 47 chf you get four courses. The chef kept bringing me extra food because I was hungry after going up and down salita del lupo. I had 8 eggs at breakfast and they didn't complain at all. They even served me coffee and let me have breakfast at 0630 am on Saturday 16 May so I could leave for an early tour in Osogna. The hotel also has a swimming pool, though I didn't get a chance to use it. The staff are welcoming, the rooms clean and modern, and the hilltop views are amazing. This is probably my favourite hotel ever. If I come back, I'll definitely book here again. I recommend it a thousand times.

A tidy room and a very good breakfast made for a lovely stay above Locarno/Ascona. The views are great, and the friendly staff make this family-owned hotel a real gem.

We've stayed at Hotel Stella several times, and it's gotten better with each visit. It's family-run and has everything we need: a comfortable room, a generously sized bathroom, lovely linens and towels, and an excellent restaurant with a diverse menu. There's parking, and they're accommodating with our two dogs. It's our go-to place in the Locarno area now. Thank you!

After a difficult, stormy drive over the mountain pass, the warm welcome from the staff at hotel Stella was exactly what we needed. They had the room ready with a crib for our baby and provided the comforts our family needed to wait out the storm without feeling we'd missed out because of the weather. The WiFi is super fast, which I need for video conferences. I'd highly recommend staying here.

They have chargers for electric cars, and the lake Maggiore view is lovely. It's a 3 star hotel, but I'd give it 5 for cleanliness, service, friendliness, and the view. Many thanks to Hotel Stella for making our stay comfortable.
