Suitenhotel Parco Paradiso

The restaurant has lovely views, and the indoor pool looked nice, but getting to it wasn’t especially convenient and there were no changing rooms. The hotel is advertised as a bike hotel, yet the only bike facility was locked parking, where even the lighting was broken. The economy rooms cost close to 300 euros and were worse than nearby hotels at 100 euros. Our room faced a parking lot with hardly any privacy, and the air conditioning didn’t work, so we were cold. When I tried to shower, hot water took about five minutes to arrive and kept switching between hot and cold every few minutes. Sadly, this was both the most expensive and the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Maybe paying a little more for a balcony room would make for a better experience.

I’m so glad we have one more night here. The room is spacious and immaculately clean, with lots of closet space, a coffee maker, and a big balcony overlooking the lake and town. The beds are comfortable, the WiFi is free, and the bath has fantastic water pressure and temperature. Staff are friendly and efficient. I’m surprised this isn’t rated five stars, and I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The location and views were a 10/10, and we’ll definitely be back. We ate at the hotel every day, and every course was delicious. The bar, dinner options, and breakfast buffet were fantastic. Everyone we encountered, from reception and the spa to the bar, restaurant, and night manager, was welcoming and focused on guests. They made us feel very special. Unbelievable experience, with service worthy of five stars. Thank you 🙏🏼

The red rose petals placed in our room for our honeymoon were a thoughtful touch, and the only thing that felt special. The room itself was spacious and clean, but the stay otherwise fell well short of a four-star standard. Housekeeping moved and handled my personal belongings while cleaning. That felt completely unacceptable, and left me uncomfortable and disrespected. The towels had a strange, unpleasant spice-like smell, and the bathroom heating didn’t work at all. Breakfast was one of the weakest I’ve had in a four- or five-star hotel. There was just one type of egg, served cold, no vegetables, and no alternative egg options. Almost everything else was pastries, which I can’t eat because of allergies, so I was left with almost nothing. The only treadmill in the fitness center was broken, with no sign or notice, so guests only discovered it after planning their day around using it. At check-out I wanted to share my feedback and thank them for the petals, but the receptionist didn’t give me a chance to say anything. They were focused only on the minibar, taxes, and parking, with no interest in guest satisfaction. The rose petals were the sole bright spot. The bad towels, broken bathroom heating, poor breakfast, mishandled belongings, broken treadmill, and unprofessional check-out made the stay far below acceptable. I honestly wanted to give one star, but gave two only because I appreciated the rose petals.
