Hotel Walther

Many thanks to everyone at Walther Hotel. The food is second to none, and the building and rooms have so much charm. The location is great, too. I can't say enough about how kind, helpful, and accommodating the staff were. It was simply beautiful, and I'd stay here with my family again without hesitation.

The restaurant was delicious at dinner and again over breakfast the next morning. We had a great stay while traveling around Switzerland. Right from arrival, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and helpful, and our room was beautiful. The hotel has a lovely charm. We'll be back!

Hotel Walther made a difficult trip feel special. On the sixth day, I was injured in a ski accident and spent 26 hours in hospital. The team arranged to have our ski equipment collected and returned to the rental shop, so my mom could stay with me without extra worry. They also sent more of the house-made chocolate bark I loved from La Trattoria for her to bring to me. After I was discharged and could barely move, La Trattoria made us a delicious meal and brought it to our room. On our last morning, I couldn't manage the stairs to the grand dining room for breakfast, so Danieli and Luigi carried me down in a chair. We won't forget that, and it even gave us a little levity while I was in pain. We were told a ramp to the dining room is planned for the future. We'd already felt cared for throughout our seven-night stay with my mom. It was our first time at Hotel Walther after two previous years in St. Moritz, and we couldn't recommend it more. Anne-Rose and Thomas Walther personally greeted guests and checked on them, and the staff's warmth made us feel as if we were the only guests there. Mariya, Leonie, and Sabine handled details like valet, ski rentals, shuttle arrangements, and dinner bookings. Danieli and Luigi were also so kind at breakfast, quickly remembering where we liked to sit and how we took our coffee. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, from good coffee and eggs cooked as requested to Bircher muesli. We ate twice at the Italian restaurant, La Trattoria, and loved its decor, service, and food. The ravioli with brown butter and sage is a must. Common areas are tastefully designed, while the spacious Alpine-style rooms have cloud-soft beds and organic bath products. We have stayed at five-star hotels nearby, and Hotel Walther offered comparable luxury at very good value. We think it may soon earn a five-star rating. Despite the accident, this remains one of our most memorable trips. Thank you, Hotel Walther.

The views from our room were amazing, and the food was exquisite. Breakfast had lovely choices and ran from 7am to 10am. My family and I had a great stay, with very friendly staff who helped us book ski trips and more. I'd thoroughly recommend it.
