Moxy Rapperswil

We came away feeling rested, and the view was lovely. Jenna at reception had personalized our sixth-floor room with my name on the mirror and a handwritten welcome card from the staff. The room was among the biggest Moxy rooms I’ve stayed in, and the bedding was comfortable. We also enjoyed the gym and outdoor terrace. In the lobby bar, Rafael kept making us great gin and tonics with 47 Monkeys while we played chess. As a Bonvoy member, I chose the Moxy in Rapperwil for a midweek stay, and the price was great. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived and would absolutely stay again. The team’s kindness made this place feel special.

The room was tidy and very clean, and since we had a lot of luggage, they arranged a bigger one for us. I’ve stayed at plenty of Moxy hotels around Europe, but the team in Rapperswil gave us the best customer care. Bernard and the rest of the crew were sincere and helpful with local advice. The hotel itself is attractive, with clean, well-arranged rooms and a great view from the top-floor balcony. Its location is also very good. But the service and overall customer satisfaction fell short during my stay. For someone used to Marriott, the beds didn’t feel like Marriott beds to me: they were thinner, firmer, and less supportive than beds at other Moxy hotels I’ve visited. Parking is limited and felt expensive compared with cheaper options in Zurich. The building looks nice, but I found the hotel a bit sketchy.

The neighborhood was lovely and made for a nice first taste of Switzerland before I went on to Zurich. I can’t say enough good things about the Moxy Rapperswil team. When a difficult situation meant I had to check out early and change hotels and locations, they stayed understanding and cheerful despite my challenging requests. The front desk staff were especially great, particularly Flo.
