Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa Saas-Fee

We had exactly the kind of stay we wanted, with a great location, breakfast and spa, and an easy walk to the ski lifts. It was perfect for New Years with my family, and the staff were lovely. We'd seen reviews saying the rooms get hot, and ours definitely was warm with little airflow. But opening the balcony windows meant we all slept well, and I'd rather have a warm room and open windows. We would stay again next time. Thanks to everyone for making it special.

The rooms get VERY hot. I had to step outside barefoot to cool down and leave the door open all night in -2 weather. I couldn't find a thermostat, and my towel was frayed. The pillows were horrendous! Still, I really loved this place 😍. The staff were super helpful and friendly, the food was incredible, and everything else about the hotel was fantastic. The views are insane. Would I come back? Hell yes!

This is my absolute favourite winter hotel in Switzerland. Saas-Fee is tiny, charming and beautiful, with lovely mountain air and such a calm feel. It honestly feels like a fairy tale. The hotel's history makes it even more special. George Michael stayed here around 40 years ago and filmed his iconic Last Christmas video in this very town. They still serve his favourite cocktail, and visitors can go into his suite and feel that bit of magic. The hotel is part of the Relais & Châteaux collection, and it lives up to the comfort, luxury and warmth you'd hope for. The staff are so kind, attentive and smiley that it feels like home. If you arrive by bus, a little car will pick you up and drop you off for free, and it can also take you to the ski lifts. The spa and swimming pool are stunning too. Breakfast is another highlight: champagne, a huge range of fresh and delicious dishes, and true five-star quality throughout. Walliserhof Grand Hotel & Spa is simply divine. I love it with all my heart ❤️.

This text is copied from our original review, which we deleted after what we saw as a malicious response from the hotel intended to damage our reputation and credibility. What was meant to be a restful, rejuvenating stay became deeply distressing. The heating barely worked, housekeeping didn't arrive at the agreed time, and when we brought it up, staff denied that any arrangement had been made. The so-called yoga room was a freezing, windowless shelter, entirely unsuitable for floor exercises. When we raised our concerns, staff were defensive and dismissive instead of handling them professionally. We felt a complete lack of empathy for guests at a hotel of this level. Things became shocking after checkout during our transfer. The driver verbally attacked us and repeated internal gossip that a housekeeper had told staff I was "rude" after our disagreement, even though I had found her behavior impolite toward me. He shouted while ignoring icy road conditions and crossed personal boundaries with unwanted physical contact. I got out of the car in tears, humiliated and devastated. Management's response was just as alarming to us. They denied accountability, lectured us about "mutual respect," apologized only for minor matters, and ignored the serious failures. The 20% refund felt grossly inadequate and insulting after what happened. We expected integrity, professionalism and basic guest safety from a hotel of this supposed standard, but experienced none of those. Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa in Saas-Fee presents itself as a five-star wellness retreat focused on relaxation and wellbeing. Our experience was the opposite.
