The owner was a friendly man who often checked whether I was enjoying my stay or needed anything. I spent a few weeks at Cricerhaus for a work delegation and really liked its historical character. The building feels like it has a soul, with beautiful decorations and finishes. It was thoroughly cleaned, neat, and well organised. The kitchen had everything, and there were two bathrooms, one with a shower, so I’d also feel comfortable recommending it for a family or group of friends, even though I was on my own. The rooms are spacious, with views of the Swiss mountains. It’s only a three-minute walk from the city centre, yet I couldn’t hear street noise, which mattered after long workdays. I had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone coming to Visp, for any reason.

We loved our week at the Cricerhaus Ferienohnung of Visp, though it felt too short. The flat has all the amenities and more, and its position in the upper old town makes it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, the railway, and bus stations. Reaching the second floor means climbing irregular stone stairs, a bit like a hike. Up there, the old wooden interior feels like a Swiss chalet, with a cosy atmosphere and lots of light from the many windows.

We’ve stayed here twice now and would gladly return if we get the chance. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of charm and history in a magnificent centuries-old house. It’s in the heart of the old town, close to amenities.
