Cervo Sils

The location is amazing if you’re into cross-country skiing, and the spa was clean and good. Everything was very clean, like a 5-star hotel, with modern facilities and kind staff. Thank you, I’ll come again!

We loved staying here and are definitely coming back. There’s parking and a ski room, plenty of dining and sports options within walking distance, and St.Moritz is up to 30min away. The place is pristine clean, with lovely design and a stylish, quiet feel from the wood and nice lighting. The spa has a sauna and steam room, plus a warm, comfortable viewing tower that works as a common room and looks out over the whole region. The Italian style restaurant, varied breakfast with local products, and welcoming, lovely staff all made it easy to recommend.

We booked three nights, then a week before the stay I asked about restaurant bookings and learned it would be closed UNTIL NOVEMBER. I was told there were other places to eat in Sils, but when we arrived in mid June, there was nowhere. We had no car, so we had to push for a refund, which they grudgingly gave on condition that we move to their sister hotel, Hotel Piz, in St Moritz. At Piz we got a poor room and no apology or other concession, even though it wasn’t full. They also didn’t tell us about significant renovation work. The room at Cervo, Sils was lovely, spacious, and had good views, a superior room, which we’d unpacked in before discovering the problem. Hotel Pis is pretty well located in St Moritz. Check the details and get confirmation if you book. We simply weren’t told about the problems, and on that basis I wouldn’t book again.

The rooftop terrace was a favorite, with spectacular 360-degree views over the mountains and town of Sils. I loved relaxing there after dinner or curling up with a book on a quiet afternoon. The hotel sits in one of the prettiest corners of Sils Maria, and I came away feeling refreshed. My room was spacious, sparkling clean, and extremely comfortable, with a modern bathroom, comfy bedding, and lovely linens. Every detail seemed thought through, and I felt cared for from the moment I arrived. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and full of fresh local options. The breakfast staff made me feel welcome, too. The restaurant was so good I ate there several times. The atmosphere was great, the service always spectacular, and I especially enjoyed the fresh salads, pasta, and excellent pizza. Hotel Cervo is a wonderful place, and I highly recommend it.
