The building has been renovated very nicely, but we were the only diners on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant wasn't worth it. We were a group of five and shared the Schnitzel, Pinsa, Hirsch Pfeffer and soup. None of the dishes really pleased us. The meat was very dry, and the food wasn't properly hot, perhaps because it had to be brought from another building. Prices were on the high side, too. Many dishes weren't available, which is understandable so close to the Christmas break, but still odd. Very disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it. This review is only about the restaurant.

I paid extra to stay here because the room was supposed to have AC. It was broken, and when I tried to call staff during the night, I couldn't reach anyone. In the morning, they said, “What do you want me to do about it?! You’ve already paid”. They wouldn't acknowledge the problem, offer any help, or give even a partial refund. Their hostile attitude and lack of response were shocking for a hotel like this.

The staff were always smiling and seemed mindful of green energy. They made our stay comfortable and child-friendly, and my baby son especially loved the croissant and cheese at breakfast. Our room was great, and breakfast was delicious. The hotel is also near a playground and Sissach's shopping centers and markets.

The room was awful, and the management was abusive. They wouldn't refund the second night, which we didn't use after telling them we wouldn't stay if they couldn't fix the air conditioning. It was broken, the room was extremely hot, and moving to another room didn't help. I still couldn't sleep. Just an awful experience. Avoid this place at all cost.

The rooms are limited, but they do the job as a clean, safe place to rest. Breakfast is a European tradition, and they do a good job with it here. This is a place to stay if you want to be in the center of Sissach, though it isn't for anyone looking for luxury.
