Hotel David 22

Check-in was easy, and the people at the hotel across the road were nice and helpful. It's well located and a good place to stay in St Gallen for a reasonable price. I did miss having a microwave in the shared area, along with disposable kitchen wipes for cleaning up. A smart TV would also be useful, so guests could connect to their own Netflix, for example. Still, a great place to stay.

The room was spacious and really clean, just right for a one-night stay in st.gallen, with the hotel close to the main train station. Check-out at 12:00 was nice, though it would be better if check-in were available before 16:00.

I got there after 10pm, when the staff had already gone home, but they'd arranged a way for me to get into my room. There's also a lobby phone to reach polite staff any time, even at 12 at night, if you have a problem or aren't sure about something. They spoke perfect English and were very helpful. The room was nice and super clean, and I appreciated having a fan, since not every place has one. There's free wifi, plus an ironing board downstairs if you need it. The hotel is 500 meters from the train station, about a 10 minute walk, I think.

Only a 5 minute walk from St. Gallen station. Check your email before you arrive, since you need a passcode to open the door. Wifi is available inside in case you don't have internet.
